Weingarten Realty Investors complies with applicable state and local laws governing non-discrimination in employment in every location in which the company has properties. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including, but not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
Weingarten Realty Investors expressly prohibits any form of unlawful harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, marital status, pregnancy, ancestry, citizenship or national origin, ethnicity, service in the United States Military (that is, veteran status), genetic information, or any characteristic otherwise protected by state, federal, or local law. Improper interference with the ability of Weingarten Realty Investors’ associates to perform their expected job duties is absolutely not tolerated. Weingarten Realty Investors considers all customers, customer’s personnel, contractors, vendors, and all others visiting a company or company property, as protected by this policy.
Each member of management is responsible for creating an atmosphere free of discrimination. Further, associates are responsible for respecting the rights of their co-workers. If an associate feels that he/she has experienced any job-related discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, marital status, pregnancy, ancestry, citizenship or national origin, ethnicity, service in the United States Military (that is, veteran status), genetic information, or any characteristic otherwise protected by state, federal, or local lawn, or if an associate believes that he/she has been treated in an unlawful, discriminatory manner, he/she should promptly report the incident to his/her direct supervisor. If the associate believes that it would be inappropriate to discuss the matter with his/her supervisor, it should be reported to the head of the department or to Human Resources. Once made aware of a complaint, Weingarten Realty Investors will launch a thorough investigation of the allegations. The complaint will be kept confidential to the maximum extent possible.

Weingarten Realty Investors expressly prohibits any form of retaliation against any associate for filing a bona fide complaint under this policy, or for assisting in the complaint investigation. If Weingarten Realty Investors determines, after investigating any complaint, that an associate has intentionally provided false information regarding the complaint, disciplinary action may be taken against the associate who provided the false information.
Weingarten Realty Investors has developed this policy to ensure that all of our associates can work in an environment free from harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. Weingarten Realty Investors will make every reasonable effort to ensure that all associates are familiar with these policies and are aware that any complaint in violation of such policies will be investigated and resolved appropriately.
